The impact of CO₂ emission on health expenditure: lesson learned from ASEAN five countries

Abstract This study is motivated by the issue of Green Economy regime. The regime promotes economic development while maintaining good environmental stability without destroying nature. Increased CO2 emissions, especially in 5 ASEAN countries, will impact surrounding environment, leading to worsening health levels long term. poor level resulting from emissions increase spending on health. aims empirically analyse and see how condition carbon affect expenditure sector. analysis this analysing Time Series data sourced several websites such as World Bank also Ministry Finance. methodology uses multiple linear regression models, or Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method, effect expenditure. Panel Data Regression consisting Common Effect Model, Fixed Random Model. variables used are emission an independent variable current per capita dependent variable. results obtained that increasing lead expenditures, along with a decrease quality environment have public so relationship between expenditures has positive significant relationship.
